The “environmental journalist Jorge Chávez Ortiz, known on Twitter as @chavezwar was detained a few hours in Celendín. The young journalist from Cajamarca is also responsible for the blog Mi mina corrupta (”My corrupt mine”), where he shows his opposition to the Conga mining project.”

The detention was because he was taking photos of the policeman. It is been said he is in a list of "observed people" for his involvement in the anti-conga protests.
