Kostas Vaxevanis was arrested on October 28th, 2012, a few hours after his magazine, HOT DOC, published a leaked list of over 2,000 names of alleged Greek tax-evaders, with bank accounts in Switzerland--the alleged “Lagarde list” that Greek governments had concealed for years. He was released and he will face a court trial with charges of personal data and professional privacy infringement.
Update: On November 1, a court in Athens acquitted M. Vaxevanis from charges of breaking data privacy laws.
