Mohammad Reza Pourshajari, a blogger also known by the name Siamak Mehr, was arrested on September 12, 2010. According to reports, Pourshajari was scheduled to be tried on December 21, 2011 on charges of insulting the Prophet and "enmity with God," charges that could bring the death penalty.
