Following a libel and slander complaint against him filed by a police officer alleging that he was defamed by Nizar's online comments, the young political activists and member of the Democratic Progressive Party was investigated in the office of the police station of Mahdia on August 24, 2010 by a close colleague of the same officer who filed the complaint, which may affect the impartiality of the investigation of the case.
