Xu Lai was stabbed in February 14, 2009 after a public talk in a bookstore. The attacker, Yang Chun, arrested in June, admitted that he stabbed Xu because of a post he had written that defaminated his friend's reputation. Yang was sentenced to 4.5 year in Aug 2009.
