The exiled editor of the Washington-based opposition website Ethiopian Review, Elias Kifle, now based in the US, was tried in absentia and was convicted in Federal High Court in the capital, Addis Ababa on terrorism and money laundering charges. <\/p>\n
Together with two other journalists, a politician and a politician\u2019s assistant, Elias Kifle was found guilty on three charges: \u2018Planning, Preparation Conspiracy, Incitement and Attempt of Terrorist Act\u2019, Participation in a Terrorist Organisation\u2019 and \u2018Money Laundering\u2019.<\/p>\n
