Hiba Al-Shamaree, whose real name is Dr. Hanan Al-Mashadani, is an opthamalogist and blogger who traveled to Baghdad from Amman in January and was arrested upon arrival. She had returned to her native country of Iraq as a humanitarian working with an Indian NGO called HMOK which deals with deaf and mute Iraqi children.<\/p>\n
According to Iraqi blogger Layla Anwar<\/a>, her trial has been set for March 3.<\/p>\n According to an alert published on the Uruknet.info on July 19, 2010<\/a>, and citing what they describe to be a reliable sources from the Al Kadhimya prison in Baghdad, the Iraqi female blogger might be in danger of death.
